Who operates Sum of Days
Sum of Days is currently operated as an independent product at sumofdays.com.
For privacy questions, requests about your data, or other contact, email hello@sumofdays.com.
Information we collect
Account information: your email address and basic account information needed to identify your account. If you choose Google sign-in, the app may also receive profile information that Google makes available to the sign-in flow, such as your display name and profile image.
Product data: the items you create, groups, record values, dates, timestamps, preferences, and other information you intentionally save in Sum of Days.
Technical information: session information, language preferences, and basic technical request information that may be processed by the infrastructure used to operate and secure the service.
Messages you send to hello@sumofdays.com may also contain information you choose to provide when asking a question, reporting a problem, or making a privacy request.
How we use your information
We use account information to sign you in, identify your account, and keep your records connected to the correct account.
We use product data to save your records, calculate your footprints and accumulated totals, and sync your data across devices.
We use language and session information to keep the service working as expected and remember relevant preferences.
Technical information may be used to operate, secure, diagnose, and prevent abuse of the service.
We do not sell your personal information. Your private records are not shown to other users as a public feed.
Service providers
Cloudflare provides infrastructure used by Sum of Days, including web hosting and delivery, application infrastructure, the D1 database used for account and record data, security-related network services, and email routing for messages sent to hello@sumofdays.com.
Google provides Google sign-in when you choose that login method.
Resend is used to send transactional emails such as one-time sign-in codes from noreply@auth.sumofdays.com.
These providers process information only as needed for the services they provide and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.
Cookies and local preferences
Sum of Days uses session-related cookies or similar browser storage needed to keep you signed in and operate your account securely.
The product also stores language or interface preferences so that it can remember how you prefer to use the app.
Sum of Days does not currently use advertising cookies.
Where data is stored and processed
Account and product data are stored using Cloudflare D1 and related Cloudflare infrastructure.
Other service providers, including Google and Resend, may process the limited information needed to provide authentication or email delivery.
Internet infrastructure can involve processing in different locations depending on the service provider and its network. This policy does not claim that all data remains in a single country or region.
How long we keep data
Account-linked records are generally kept while your account remains active so that your history and accumulated footprints remain available to you.
If you request deletion of your account or account-linked data, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize the relevant data, except where limited retention is necessary for security, abuse prevention, technical recovery, or legal obligations.
Infrastructure and delivery providers may retain limited technical logs or operational records according to their own retention practices.
Your choices and data requests
You can sign out at any time and can edit or delete individual records through the product where those controls are available.
Self-service account deletion and full data export may not yet be available in every version of the product.
Until those tools are available, you can contact hello@sumofdays.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-linked personal data.
We may need to confirm that a request comes from the owner of the account before acting on it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and operational measures appropriate for a small web product to protect account and record data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security issue that materially affects users, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and respond.
Children
Sum of Days is not specifically designed as a service for children.
If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to consent before you can create and manage an online account, please use the service only with that consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product or its underlying services change. The updated date will always appear at the top of this page.
If a change materially affects how personal information is handled or the choices available to users, we will provide additional notice when reasonably possible.
