About Sum of Days

Sum of Days is a place to record what has already happened, letting small actions gradually become footprints you can look back on. It believes that what you did deserves to be seen, and even the smallest action counts.

What it is for

The things recorded here are things that already happened: a few minutes of reading, one set of push-ups, a sentence written down, or anything else you want to remember as part of your days.

Over time, those small entries become footprints you can look back on — days with records, time invested, counts accumulated, and the things you kept returning to.

A different kind of record

Sum of Days takes inspiration from the ideas behind done lists and micro-habits: notice what you have already done, and let even a very small action count.

It is not a todo list, a streak tracker, or a system that decides whether your day was successful.

There is no overdue state, no make-up check-in, and no red warning for a blank day. A day without a record is simply blank.

Feedback is additive. The product shows what you have already saved, not what you still owe.

What the product stays focused on

The product follows one simple path: record → footprints → accumulation.

Features may grow around reflection, history, and seeing change over time. Full todo systems, project management, social rankings, and other features that conflict with this idea are not part of the current direction.

Independent by design

Sum of Days is currently designed, built, and maintained as an independent web product.

There is no large support team behind the site, but there is a real person behind the product. Questions, feedback, bug reports, and privacy requests are welcome at hello@sumofdays.com.
